Veteran. Chef.
Painter.
Born in Beacon, New York and raised in Broward County, Florida, Carlos Alberto Lopez built a life on structure and discipline long before he ever picked up a spray can. He served fifteen years in the U.S. Army, with deployments to Afghanistan and Eastern Africa.
After the service he trained formally at the Culinary Institute of America in California, then came home to South Florida and earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Barry University. Precision from the kitchen, discipline from the Army, an eye sharpened in design school.
Today he works in spray paint, graffiti markers, ink, and found objects: saturated, graffiti-edged, intentionally imperfect. Flowers pushing through concrete. Beauty surviving inside the everyday.
